RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

At BDF Natural Ingredients we apply a continual policy of innovation and development. We invest human and technological resources in our R+D+I Department in order to provide value and solutions to our clients.

The Main Objectives of our R +D+I Department

  • To launch new ranges of innovative products onto the market.
  • To provide technical support and to develop specific client-based formulas.
  • To improve and optimise production processes.

R+D+I Key Points

  • A highly qualified technical staff trained in the areas of Biotechnology and food production with a wide range of experience in the sector.
  • Facilities with advanced technology with Microbiology, Molecular Biotechnology and Physical-Chemical Analyses laboratories, a bioreactor and lyophilizer. 
  • A test plant for undertaking internal tests in the application of new products or variations of already-established products, where demonstrations are also made for clients and distributors.

Lines of Research

 The lines of research currently being focused on in our R+D+I Department centre are: 

  • New ingredients for applications used with fish.
  • The creation of new ranges of preservatives for natural origin and biotechnological meat products.

Joint Projects with External Organisations:

BDF Natural Ingredients is working together with other companies and external organisations in order to obtain mutual benefits and create synergies.

We focus our guidelines on the transference of technology and knowledge among different organisations as well as within our own company. The strengthening of cooperative working channels is a fundamental element for continued development in BDF.
